A Dutch Dj and producer Funkerman, is rapidly proving that love for music can make boundaries disappear. Following the success of his smash hit ‘Speed Up’, 3 Minutes To Explain’ and ‘One For Me’, a music talent delivered brilliant remix of the brand new single from Sugababes ‘Here Come The Girls’.

Funkerman, real name Ardie van Beek, started playing as a DJ in 1990. At first hip hop and R&B took his vibe, but when Funk started influencing house music, he was instantly addicted to this musical expression. In 2004 he teamed up with fellow Dutch DJ/producer Fedde Le Grand and producer Raf to create Flamingo Records a house and electronic-tech label that is currently one of the hottest imprints in the world.
Over the past 4 years Funkerman and Flamingo Recordings have been behind such hits as Put Your Hands Up For Detroit, The Creeps, Speed Up and 3 Minutes To Explain. Besides producing for his own label, Funkerman still stays committed to other labels too, he dropped his second release on Stealth Records, the Roger Sanchez imprint.
In 2008 alone he has already clocked up appearances at Mystery Land, Love Parade, Creamfields, Extrema Outdoor, Ministry of Sound London and what surely has to be seen as the biggest feather in his cap - a residency at world-famous Ibiza club, Space. With his own Flamingo Nights series of parties becoming an international benchmark for high-class production and world caliber guest mixes, a label so on form it’s mind blowing, and a fast-growing reputation as the man to front up any dance floor.
His production ability was also recognized by Sugababes, they’ve drafted the talents of our very own Funkerman to give his take on their new single Here Come The Girls and the end result is so hot, it’d give the Sun a run for its money!
