One of the best clubs in the city Kiss & Fly is located in the Meatpacking district, 409 West 13th Street, between Ninth Avenue and Washington Street. Inspired by historical Roman art and design, European tastes figured directly in the club’s design, music and personality. The name of the flirty nightclub comes from a passenger drop-off area in an airport in the south of France.
By mixing the antique feeling and delicateness of the Roman period with modern lighting and decor, Kiss & Fly creates a beautifully elegant atmosphere. The massive coliseum-like space is adorned with golden columns and arches and, most impressively, a take on Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel painted on the ceiling. Kiss & Fly kicks off the night as lounge, beginning with soft jazz music, and slowly transitions into a nightclub complete with both intelligent high energy house music, and the club becomes charged with he dynamic 750 LED light show as the night progresses.
For those seeking access to the roped-off VIP area, bottle service is the name of the game. 28 vip tables line the amphitheatre style room and each includes its own private dance floor that is raised behind the table, framed beneath the arched alcoves which allow patrons to become performers. Each vip table allows patrons to see anyone from everywhere in the room, adding to the intimacy felt within the crowd.
One of the owners David Graziano, (the mastermind behind Pink Elephant), designed the place, he is involved with the operation as well. Remi Laba is in charge of all the marketing and PR aspects of the venue. Aymeric Clemente, formerly of La Goulue and Le Bilboquet brought the French ambiance and atmosphere into the venue.
