To Almost Die For Suits by Adam Kimmel
Designers tend to use of web video to present their collections instead of expensive runway presentation. The latest designer to use a video format is Adam Kimmel, whose unusual presentation has gone up a notch. Adam Kimmel’s SS09 video presentation follows two blue-suited skateboarders ripping down a freaky hill on the West Coast in Claremont.
Directed by Ari Marcopoulos and produced by Eville Wakefield, the short film is titled “To Almost Die For Suits.” While wearing baby-blue suits from Adam Kimmel Spring/Summer 2009 collection, Noah Sakamoto and Patrick Rizzo rocket down a hill in Claremont, California at high speeds with hills and curves, sometimes inches from oncoming traffic. All of the action was caught on a camcorder that was exchanged by Noah Sakamoto and Patrick Rizzo throughout their gutsy skateboarding adventure.
