Over the past 3 years, Grammy Nominated DJ/Producer Dirty South aka Dragan Roganovic has made an instant name for himself in the dance music industry. When Dragan injected his trademark house groove into Evermore’s It’s Too Late rock hit in 2006, the entire dance music world stood up and took notice. Not only did dance luminary Pete Tong reward the track as one of his coveted ‘Essential New Tunes’, but the gem was also licensed to over 30 compilations worldwide, as well as being picked up by Warner and Ultra (USA).
The remix was easily among the year’s biggest tracks in clubland and in addition to being licensed to over 30 compilations worldwide, the track was nominated for ‘Best Alternative Dance Release’ at the International Dance Music Awards in Miami. Since that pivotal moment Dirty South has gone on to remix countless world renowned artists such as Depeche Mode, Mark Ronson, Tracey Thorn, Snoop Dogg, Tiesto and Roger Sanchez among many others. By no means purely a remix specialist, Dirty South has produced an impressive number of high quality EPs and singles. ‘Let It Go’, ‘Open Your Heart’, ‘Minority’ and The Doors sampling ‘The End’ have been all club-smashing anthems that have received support from right across the board.
In 2008, Dirty South played massive festivals including, Ultra Music Festival, Global Gathering, Creamfields and many others. Dirty South also secured a monthly residency at the legendary Ibiza club Pacha, playing for Eric Morillo’s Subliminal night.
Continuing their policy of investing breakthrough talent, Toolroom Records enlist Dirty South to provide a mix for the prolific Toolroom Knights series. The strength of this double disc release lies with a carefully selected array of floor-destroying House tracks that have been hand-picked from a vast array of production talent from across the globe. The Toolroom Knights compilation is available on cd and mp3. You can also download Dirty South tracks at Beatport.com
