Addicted To Oil
The world’s population is predicted to increase from 6 to 8.5 billion over the next 20-30 years. By the year 2030 global demand for oil is projected to increase 37% over 2006 levels by 2030. There is an urgent national need to find new sources of energy.
For the past two decades, growth in the developing world has led to a sharp increase in world energy use. As countries develop, industry, rapid urbanization and higher living standards drive up energy use, most often of oil. As the price of oil creeps higher, finding new energy sources is more important than ever.
Good Magazine has put it together this animation clearly explains our addiction to oil and sense of urgency to find future energy sources.
